"Young Authors 2011 Competition"
This competition is open to all youngsters aged 11* to 16 who go to (or used to go to!) our local Schools or who are members of our many Clubs and Youth organisations in the Sonning Common area. (*may include "rising elevens" at the discretion of their sponsor.)
There are two age categories which will be judged by our panel of experienced Youth Writers and English Teachers, and many prizes will be won! There are also special prizes for work which has obviously needed tremendous effort to write.

Funding crisis! Competition at risk!

Competition cancelled.
Many voluntary organisations are struggling to find sponsors this year and we too have been unable to raise sufficient funds to run our fourth annual competition. We would like to thank the 'Henley Standard' , our local newspaper, for their fantastic support over the last years and can only apologise to them and the many keen young writers who were looking forward to this year.
